 It was another hot summer day, but it was windy -not that she was complaining- for the breeze left a slight cooling effect to ease the hot sun on her dark coat. Sweat lined her body, as she had yet to bother to find shade and although hot and sweaty her coat shined with a healthy glow. For being a free mare, she seemed very well looked after. This was probably due to the fact that she had only parted ways with the last herd she had joined up with fairly recently. Rare wasn’t it, for a mare to join up with a herd without the stallion claiming her and keeping her within their herd? She was quite the catch, but the mare had this way about her where she managed to gain the respect of others. She could be quiet, calm, collected, and really did not do any wrong to others, so what was there not to like about her? When she did have her flashy moments, they were usually when she was just trying to have fun or release some stress and tension from whatever had been going on. Thankfully, no stress had come to her recently and even being alone now was fairly relaxing. |
